Spurley Reserves had a relatively easy afternoon at Droyldsen Academy. After being on the wrong end of a 17-2 pasting in their previous game v Milltown the hosts, Oldham Saints, were looking very weakened and could only field 9 players. To be fair the score could easily have been double but players were snatching at chances in an eagerness to score. We can only hope that fortunes change for Oldham Saints - too many clubs have fallen by the wayside in recent times.
