We have recently made public the exciting and transformational vision for our club, centred around our redevelopment plans for Warth Meadow. You can read all about these plans in the attached document.
Our vision will help improve the lives of the people within our community and deliver a
range of outcomes including, improved health and wellbeing, improved self-esteem and growth and regeneration. The project will also transform football development outcomes in the local area
We are seeking to develop new 3G artificial turf pitches, a new club house with community classrooms, function suite and changing facilities, along with new car parking and perimeter fencing. The facility will allow the club to widen its community activities, especially for women and girls and not only grow the number of teams we run, but also deliver a significant community programme of recreational sport and physical activity for people with disabilities and the wider community.
We also aim to develop new partnerships with a range of charities and non profit organisations with the aim of:
supporting disadvantaged veterans who have served in the armed forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence.
working with groups, organisations and charities which support people with a mental health problem.
working with ex-players, both junior and senior, amateur or professional supporting any form of mental and physical rehabilitation.
We are currently in discussions with Cheshire FA, Football Foundation and Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council about this exciting project, working to ensure the project is developed strategically and therefore contributing to a range of local plans and outcomes.
